Volvo’s Future Products

The 2017 Volvo S90 was revealed earlier this month. As far as power trains go, the S90 T5 2.0 liter turbocharged 1-4 will make approximately 250 hp. As for the S90 T6, the 2.0 liter 1-4 will make 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The T8 will make 400 hp and 472 lb-ft off torque. All models will have all-wheel drive available to them.
The 2017 Volvo S90’s should arrive in June or July. The S90 is available in several models.
A newer version of the Volvo Pilot Assist in semi autonomous tech will be available soon. The car will be able to reach speeds of 80 mph rather than the speeds of 30 mph found in previous models. It will be able to follow line markers on the street and no longer needs a car in front of it to follow.
At some point a long-wheel base version will be available. It will be called the S90L.
There are no plans for an S90 Polestar in the near future.
The Volvo V90 wagon, though is forthcoming. It may be available in March. The lifted version, the V90 Cross Country will also be available. This may occur before the end of 2016. In addition to the V90 and the V90 Cross Country, Volvo plans to introduce the 60 series lineup. This will include the S60, V60, and XC60. These will be small cars powered with 2.0 liter four cylinder engines or 1.6-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engines. There will be a plug-in hybird variety.
These cars will be seen in the U.S.
Plans are to present the Polestar in a triple-charged 2.0liter engine. It features an electric supercharger and two turbos. It makes 450 hp.
Volvo is planning to launch its electric car, the Volvo EV in 2019.
Volvo will make an effort to have plug-in hybirds available in 2020, representing approximately10% of its market.
