VICTORVILLE, CA (August 2, 2018) – A woman who was walking early Wednesday morning was hit by two vehicles in Victorville.
The accident happened on D Street in the 16800 block, close to 6th Street at roughly 1:19 a.m.
A sedan of a mid-2000 model that was traveling west on D Street hit the woman, according to reports. After the sedan hit her, a Dodge Ram pickup in a silver color struck her next. The pickup had also been traveling west.
The reports do not yet give the woman’s identity. Responders at the scene of the accident pronounced the victim deceased.
Both drivers of the vehicles that struck the woman stopped and remained at the accident site. Authorities questioned them. Adam Hylin of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victorville Station said that drugs or alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the accident.
Investigators are continuing to look for details that caused the crash. The Victorville Sheriff’s Station asks that anyone who has knowledge about the incident call 760-241-2911.
