Storage Yard Fire in Ventura Destroys Passenger Vehicles and RV
VENTURA, CA (September 11, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, a fire in a storage yard in Ventura destroyed passenger vehicles and an RV. The September 10 incident occurred on North Ventura Avenue in the 2600 block.
The time was roughly 1:08 p.m., according to Ventura City Fire.
Reports say calls came in to the Fire Communications Center about the incident. Responders from the fire department arrived and saw multiple vehicles were on fire, including an RV and cars.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, which destroyed a number of the vehicles. Reports say the fire caused thousands of dollars of damage.
No one was reported injured in the incident.
None of the owners of the vehicles that were destroyed have been identified, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence. The owner of the storage lot has also not been identified.
Investigators are working to collect details and information to understand what caused the blaze. They are working to understand what factors contributed to the initial ignition, and where the fire began.
