Building on Corner of Ventura Ave. and Vince Street in Ventura Struck by Vehicle

VENTURA, CA (November 11, 2020) – Late at night on Friday, a vehicle smashed into a building in Ventura. The November 6 incident occurred where Vince Street and Ventura Avenue intersect.

The time was roughly a little after 11:00 p.m., according to the Ventura City Fire Department.

A vehicle, which has not been described, smashed into a commercial building located at the corner, and a signal pole was also damaged. It is not known if anyone was in the building at the time of the crash.

Responders arrived and found three people in the wrecked vehicle. Reports say no one was seriously injured, but it is not clear what injuries, if any, the people suffered.

The identities of the occupants of the vehicle, including that of the driver, have not been reported.

Reports say according to the fire department, the building sustained structural damage that was described as moderate. The owner of the building has not been identified in reports.

Investigators are working on understanding why the crash happened. They are collecting information for that effort.
