Man Killed When Vehicle Hits Him in Crash on 405 Freeway in Carson, CA
CARSON, CA (January 5, 2022) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Carson, a vehicle struck and killed a man on the 405 Freeway. The January 5 crash occurred on the southbound side of the freeway, close to where Vermont Avenue is located.
The time was roughly 4:40 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
No details have been reported on why the man was struck on the freeway. The vehicle involved in the crash has not been described.
Responders arrived and found the man was killed in the crash. His identity–including name, age, and city of residence–has not been reported.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash has also not been identified. It is not known if the driver was hurt in the crash. Reports do not say if any passengers were traveling in the vehicle.
Investigators are working to understand the crash, and they are currently collecting information.
