Two men were killed tragically after their vehicle plunged nearly 800 feet down an embankment. The car went over the side of a mountain road located in the Angeles Crest area, according to what the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was initially called in at 8 a.m. Sunday on Glendora Ridge Road located five miles west of Mt. Baldy Road, said California Highway Patrol officer Patrick Kimball. It wasn’t clear who called police officials.
After the call came in, search and rescue personnel reached th crashed vehicle just a little over three hours. It was then confirmed that there were two people dead in the vehicle, Kimball said.
The two victims were identified, according to officials on Sunday. The two victims were identified as Sergio Partida and Andrew Barrios, who were both 22. They were both from Ontario Canada.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash. It is not clear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. It is also not clear if there were any other vehicles involved. It is not clear why the two were in the Los Angeles area.
