Multiple Crashes on Santiago Canyon Road Near Tustin Cause Injuries
TUSTIN, CA (July 13, 2020) – On Sunday afternoon, multiple collisions on Santiago Canyon Road near Tustin caused injuries. The July 12 incidents occurred close to Blue Diamond Haul Road.
The time was roughly 1:56 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say the first crash involved a vehicle that struck a telephone pole. Two people were occupants of the vehicle, which has not been described, and both were injured.
Responders transported one person to Mission Hospital. The identity of the patient, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Responders transported the other person to Orange County Global Medical Center. The person has also not been identified. The current condition of each person is not known.
It is not known who the driver had been at the time of the crash, nor why the crash occurred.
Subsequent to the first crash, three other crashes happened in the vicinity. In each crash, a motorcycle was involved.
None of the riders have been identified in reports, and the current condition of the riders is not known.
Investigators are working to collect details and information to understand why the collisions occurred.
