Goff, 54, was country star Toby Keith’s longtime bandleader. He helped write Keith’s Top 10 hits, “You Ain’t Much Fun” and “Upstairs Downtown.” The bandleader was treasured by Keith and definitely will be missed as was relayed to the public in a statement from the musician.

Keith stated that he was saddened by the news and would miss his bandleader of 25 years.

Keith and his band played a show on Monday at a Houston rodeo. They will continue their tour on April 13 at the Country Thunder festival in Arizona.
