Fiery Crash on Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks Kills Two Men
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (August 3, 2020) – Early in the morning on Sunday, a fiery crash in Thousand Oaks killed two men. The August 2 incident occurred on Westlake Boulevard, near Skelton Canyon Circle.
The time was roughly 1:30 a.m., the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.
Reports say a vehicle–which has not been described–crashed for reasons that are not known, and struck a tree in the median in the center of the road. The vehicle erupted in flames.
Responders arrived from the Ventura County Fire Department and Thousand Oaks Police to help. Two people–identified only as men–died in the crash. Their names, ages, and cities of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand the crash’s circumstances, and the factors that may have contributed. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can contact Dan Ambarian, who is a senior deputy. The number is 805-494-8245.
