TEMECULA, CA (July 25, 2022) – Early in the evening on Sunday in Temecula, a crash on State Route 79 killed a child and injured six other people. The July 24 crash occurred where Anza Road is located.
The time was roughly 6:25 p.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, or how many vehicles were involved.
Responders arrived to help, but one child died at the crash site.
Responders worked to free one person from the wreckage.
According to reports, four people suffered injuries that were described as serious. The patients were identified only as three children and one adult.
Two people suffered injuries that were described as moderate. They were identified only as adults.
Responders transported the patients to the hospital; their current conditions are not known.
