Crash Involving Overturned Vehicle on 210 Freeway in Sylmar Injures Three People
SYLMAR, CA (December 3, 2018) – A crash involving an overturned vehicle in the eveing on Sunday in Sylmar injured three people. The December 2 accident occurred on the 210 Freeway in the westbound lanes, close to Yarnell Street, the California Highway Patrol said.
The time was roughly 9:20 p.m.
According to David Eadie, who is a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol, an SUV rolled over. Three people who had been traveling in the overturned vehicle were trapped inside. Reports do not yet include what caused the vehicle to overturn on the freeway.
Responders from the fire department had to extricate the victims by using the Jaws of Life. According to Amy Bastman, who is a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, one of the victims who had been hurt in the accident was a girl 16 years old. The two other victims were also female. The ages of the other two victims have not yet been reported. The names of the victims, and the types of injuries they suffered have also not yet been reported.
No other details have been reported about the incident. Investigators are looking into the information to determine what caused the crash.
