SUV Rollover Crash in Costa Mesa

Costa Mesa, CA – A two car crash caused an SUV to rollover above a freeway Monday morning. No major injuries have been reported.

The crash occurred above the 55 Freeway on the northbound Newport Boulevard and Mesa Drive intersection at about 9:30 a.m. when a Toyota 4Runner SUV and a Toyota Corolla sedan collided. The sedan crashed into the 4Runner causing it rollover. The front passenger side of the sedan and the front driver’s side of the SUV collided. The SUV rolled over onto the passenger side scraping the body and damaging the rear tire. Its airbags were deployed.
Officials responded to the crash soon after it happened. Neither driver suffered major injuries, and denied being transported to a local hospital. A tow truck and cleanup crew brought the SUV on all four wheels and cleaned the oil spillage on the road that came from the engine of the SUV.
Police questioned the victims to help with the investigation.
