Sunland Crash on Big Tujunga Canyon Road Kills One Person, Injures Three
SUNLAND, CA (September 30, 2019) – On Sunday morning near Sunland, a vehicle crashed and overturned on Big Tujunga Canyon Road, killing one person and injuring three others. The September 29 incident occurred close to the address of 12214 Big Tujunga Canyon Road, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The time was a litte before 12:00 p.m.
Reports say an SUV, described as a Mercedes, overturned and rolled a number of rotations before it landed on its roof. It then erupted in flames. It is not known why the vehicle crashed and rolled over.
Four people had been occupants of the SUV. The force of the crash threw one person from the vehicle. Responders arrived and pronounced him deceased at the incident site. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The three other people suffered injuries that were described as not life threatening. Responders transported them to the hospital. The victims were identified only as men. Their names, ages, and cities of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are collecting details and information regarding the incident. It is not known if another vehicle was a factor in the crash.
