Woman Dies After Multiple Vehicles Hit Her on Glenoaks Blvd. in Sun Valley
SUN VALLEY, CA (March 2, 2021) – Early in the evening on Friday, three vehicles struck a woman in Sun Valley, and two drivers fled the scene. The woman died from her injuries in the February 26 incident, which occurred on Glenoaks Boulevard, close to Vinedale Avenue.
The time was roughly 7:40 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The pedestrian had been going east on Glenoaks Boulevard, not within a crosswalk that is marked, according to police. A vehicle–described as a Toyota Camry–struck her.
The impact of the crash knocked her down, authorities said, and two other vehicles struck her. The driver of the Camry–who has not been identified–remained at the crash site; however, the drivers of the two other vehicles fled the scene.
Responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived, and pronounced the woman deceased at the crash site. She was identified only as 60 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are searching for the two drivers who fled the scene, and the two vehicles involved. Both vehicles were described as SUVs–one dark gray in color, and the other a dark color.
