Simi Valley Man Identified as Bicyclist Killed in Crash
SIMI VALLEY, CA (April 29, 2022) – Stephen Wright was identified by authorities as the bicyclist who was killed in a crash on Wednesday in Simi Valley. The April 27 crash occurred where Sycamore Drive and Los Angeles Avenue are located.
The time was roughly noon, the Simi Police Department said.
It is not clear from reports how the crash happened. Reports say a vehicle–described only as a commercial flatbed truck–collided with the bicycle.
Responders arrived to help, but the bicyclist died at the crash site. He was identified as Wright, a resident of Simi Valley, 69 years old.
The person who was driving the truck has not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.
Investigators are in the process of gathering details to understand the crash. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can call Bryan Sarfaty, who is a traffic officer with Simi Police.
