Crash on State Route 94 in Spring Valley Kills Person

SPRING VALLEY, CA (November 18, 2020) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Spring Valley, a crash killed a person. The November 18 incident occurred on State Route 94 on the eastbound side, close to the exit for Avocado Boulevard/Calavo Drive.

The time was roughly a little after midnight, the California Highway Patrol said.

Reports say a person was hit, but it is not clear if the person was walking on the roadway, or beside it. The vehicle involved in the crash has not been described.

The victim has not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.

The person who had been driving the vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the incident site. The identity of the driver has not been reported.

According to reports, during the time that traffic became congested in the area following the first crash, a second crash happened. No details have been reported on what vehicle or vehicles were involved in the crash, nor the manner in which they collided.

The people involved in the second crash have not been identified. Reports say injuries that were described as minor had occurred.

Investigators are working to understand both crashes; they are in the process of collecting information.
