Del Gray with the Crescent City California Highway Patrol confirmed that the female driver involved in the solo vehicle accident on State Route 199 has been transported to Sutter Coast Hospital with major injuries. Gray was unable to confirm what caused the accident, but said the woman was driving a 2000 Subaru Outback when she crashed.

California Highway Patrol officers in Crescent City are responding to a major injury traffic accident on State Route 199 that occurred at about 11 a.m. today.
Officer Brandy Gonzalez was unable to provide further detail on the extent of the injuries or the number of victims involved in the accident, but said the road had been reopened to one-way controlled traffic.
