Man Struck and Killed While Walking in Simi Valley
SIMI VALLEY, CA (January 19, 2021) – Early in the evening on Friday, John Andre Dupray was struck and killed in Simi Valley. The January 15 incident occurred in the area where Pacific Avenue and First Street intersect.
The time was roughly 6:30 p.m., according to police.
Dupray had been walking across First Street, authorities said, and a vehicle–described as a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck–struck him. The pickup had been heading northbound on First Street in the number two lane.
Good Samaritans provided CPR to Dupray, followed by paramedics when they arrived on scene, but Dupray died at the crash site.
He was a resident of Simi Valley, 69 years old.
The person who had been driving the truck remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation. The identity of the driver, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
