San Bernardino DUI Rollover Accident on 210 Fwy Ends With Passenger Killed
San Bernardino, CA (June 8, 2024) — Shaylee Williams, 27, is facing DUI charges following a deadly rollover accident on the 210 Freeway near 30th Street on Saturday evening. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the incident occurred around 7:40 p.m.
According to the CHP, Shaylee Williams was driving a westbound Mercedes-Benz SUV when she lost control of the vehicle, allegedly due to intoxication. The SUV failed to navigate a turn, collided with a yellow advisory sign, and ultimately rolled onto 30th Street.
The Passenger Was Ejected From The Vehicle And Wound Up Underneath It
Tragically, a female passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and became pinned underneath the overturned SUV. Bystanders quickly intervened, attempting to lift the vehicle and free the woman. Once freed, a witness performed CPR until paramedics arrived. Despite their efforts, the woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Shaylee Williams Was Arrested On Suspicion of DUI and Causing Great Bodily Harm
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased passenger. Meanwhile, Shaylee Williams was arrested on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury. The CHP urges anyone with additional information about the crash to come forward and assist with the investigation.
