Vehicle Crashes into House on Sagunto Road in Santa Ynez, Causing Major Damage
SANTA YNEZ, CA (September 23, 2019) – Early in the morning on Sunday, a vehicle crashed into a house in Santa Ynez, causing major damage. The September 22 incident occurred on Sagunto Road in the 3300 block.
The time was roughly 12:40 a.m.
Reports say a vehicle went off the road and went airborne for roughly 150 feet. The vehicle crashed inside the house, according to the Santa Barbara Fire Department.
It is not known why the vehicle went into the air before landing and crashing into the house.
Responders arrived and took the driver to a hospital. The person suffered injuries that were described as moderate. The current condition of the victim is not known. The person’s identity, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
According to reports, no one in the house was injured. Reports do not say how many people at been inside the home when the incident occurred.
The house’s occupants were not able to return as it was rendered uninhabitable. The house’s owners have not been identified in reports.
Investigators are working to understand the circumstances of the incident.
