Rollover Crash Severely Injures One Person on Highway 154 in Santa Ynez
SANTA YNEZ, CA (April 30, 2019) – One person was severely injured in a rollover crash early in the morning on Monday on Highway 154 in Santa Ynez. The April 29 accident occurred in the lanes that travel west, close to Camp Whittier in the San Marcos Pass area.
The time was roughly 2:00 a.m.
Reports say the vehicle traveled off the road roughly 15 to 20 feet, and went down an embankment. The vehicle ended up on its roof. The type of vehicle has not been described, and it is not known from reports if any other vehicle was involved in the incident.
According to Danial Bertucelli, who is a public information officer with Santa Barbara County Fire, firefighters had to work to remove the victim from the vehicle. The victim was described as having suffered injuries that are severe. The types of injuries suffered have not been described, nor the person’s current condition.
The identity of the victim, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported. It is not known from reports if the victim had been the driver of the vehicle, or if anyone else had been traveling in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
