Homeless Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident In Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, CA (January 6, 2025) – A homeless man in his late 60s was injured Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Wilshire Boulevard, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.

The incident occurred around 8:25 p.m. in the 2400 block of Wilshire Boulevard, east of Chelsea Avenue. Authorities reported that the man was hit by an unidentified vehicle.

Homeless Man Was Transported To Nearby Hospital In Stable Condition

Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where he was treated for unspecified injuries. Officials confirmed that his vital signs were stable, and he is expected to survive.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Investigators stated that drugs or alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the crash, though the investigation remains ongoing.
