Two-Vehicle Crash in Santa Barbara Leaves Pedestrian Injured
SANTA BARBARA, CA (June 18, 2025) — A pedestrian was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning at the intersection of Cathedral Oaks Road and North San Marcos Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:11 a.m. and involved a blue Honda Fit and a white Honda Accord. CHP officials said both drivers, along with a pedestrian, were involved in the incident.
Both Cars Involved In The Crash Were Severely Damaged
One of the vehicles sustained major front-end damage with airbags deployed, while the blue Honda Fit suffered a broken rear axle. In addition, a traffic signal on the northwest corner of the intersection was struck and damaged during the crash.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital. Their condition has not yet been released.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash and working to determine liability.
