Crash on Highway 1 Near Vandenberg Air Force Base Causes Injuries
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (March 10, 2021) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Santa Barbara County, two vehicles collided head on, causing injuries. The March 10 incident occurred on Highway 1 on the northbound side of the roadway, close to Vandenberg Air Force Base.
The time was roughly 5:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Two vehicles–which have not been described–collided. The manner in which the collision occurred has also not been described.
Reports say an airlift and a ground ambulance was requested at the scene. It is not known how many people were injured, what types of injuries they suffered, nor their condition.
The identities of the people involved in the crash have not been reported.
Investigators are in the process of collecting information and details to understand why the crash happened, and the factors that could have contributed. No other details are known as of this writing.
