Multi-vehicle Collision on Highway 101 Near Refugio State Beach Causes Injury
SANTA BARBARA, CA (June 7, 2019) – A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 early in the morning on Friday caused injury in Santa Barbara. The June 7 incident occurred to the north of the state beach, in the area of the Arroyo Quemada Bridge. The crash led to authorities closing a lane.
The time was roughly 5:00 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Reports say three vehicles—described as a sedan, a semi-truck trailer, and a box truck—collided. The box truck rolled over. No details have been reported on the condition of the other two vehicles, or what led to the crash. The vehicles have not been described in more detail.
