Santa Barbara Crash on Highway 101 Near Milpas Street Kills Pedestrian
SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 20, 2021) – Early in the evening on Tuesday, a pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara. The January 19 incident occurred on the southbound side of the roadway, near Milpas Street and to the south of it.
The time was roughly 6:00 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
A pedestrian had been crossing the highway on foot, reports say, and a number of vehicles struck him. The pedestrian was killed in the incident.
The man’s name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
None of the vehicles involved in the incident have been described. None of the drivers have been identified. It is not known if any occupants of the vehicles involved in the crash were hurt.
Investigators are working to understand the crash, and to that effort, they are currently gathering information and details.
