Crash at Las Positas Rd. Kills Pedestrian in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, CA (November 5, 2021) – Early in the evening on Thursday in Santa Barbara, a woman who was walking was struck and killed. The November 4 crash occurred where Stanley Drive and Las Positas Road intersect.
The time was roughly 6:30 p.m., Santa Barbara Police said.
According to reports, authorities believe the woman was walking across the street when a vehicle–described as a pickup truck–struck her. The driver stayed at the crash site and called for help.
Responders from the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, AMR Paramedics, and Santa Barbara Police arrived to help, but the woman died at the crash site.
Her name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
The identity of the driver has also not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand the crash, and they are continuing to collect details.
