Santa Barbara Area Head-on Crash on Highway 154 Causes Serious Injuries
SANTA BARBARA, CA (February 10, 2021) – Late in the afternoon on Tuesday near Santa Barbara, a head-on collision caused serious injuries. The February 9 incident occurred on Highway 154, close to where W. Camino Cielo is located.
The time was roughly 5:21 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
The manner in which the crash occurred has not been described, and it is not known from reports what line of travel each vehicle had been taking prior to colliding. The vehicles have not been described.
Responders arrived, and according to the Fire Department, one patient suffered injuries that were described as major, and another patient suffered injuries that were described as minor.
The identities of the patients have not been reported; their current condition is not known.
Reports do not say if the injured people were drivers or passengers.
Investigators are working on understanding why the crash happened, and they are continuing their work of collecting details and information.
