Santa Ana, CA (June 15, 2018) – According to Santa Ana Police Department, a vehicle traveling westbound on MacArthur Blvd. collided into a tree leaving 1 man dead and a woman and child injured. The accident happened early Friday morning, June 15th at around 12:30 a.m. From the evidence found at the scene, the car allegedly crossed into the opposing lanes of traffic near Greenville Street where it crashed into the tree on the south side curb. The crash resulted in the death of a 27-year old driver and injured a woman occupant and an infant passenger. The Woman and infant were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The 27-year-old driver was later identified as Diego Stevan but the identities of the woman and child have not been released to the public. Police say that the Coroner’s office will determine whether Diego Stevan was under any substances when the crash happened because they believe that drugs and alcohol might have been a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing to find more information and evidence about the crash.
