Explosion Involving Big Rig Carrying Cars Damages Windows at Apartment Building in San Pedro
SAN PEDRO, CA (April 17, 2019) – A big rig that had been carrying autos exploded and caught fire in the morning on Monday in San Pedro. The April 15 accident occurred on North Harbor Boulevard in the 600 block.
The time was roughly 10:00 a.m.
Reports say the explosion and fire caused damage to windows at an apartment building located close to the site of the accident. Respondents from the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly put out the fire, reports say. The address of the building has not been reported, nor the name of the owner of the building.
It is not known who was driving the vehicle, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence. According to reports, no one was hurt in the incident.
The cars that had been on the big rig were totally destroyed. Reports do not described the type of cars that the big rig was transporting, or how many had been on the vehicle when the incident occurred.
