Collision at South Rancho Santa Fe Road and Boulderidge Drive in San Marcos Injures Two

SAN MARCOS, CA (December 31, 2019) – A collision Sunday night in San Marcos injured two people. The December 29 incident occurred where Boulderidge Drive and South Rancho Santa Fe Road intersect.

The time was roughly 8:20 p.m., according to Nicholas Maryn. Maryn is a sergeant with the San Diego County Sheriff.

Reports say a vehicle—which has not been described—had been traveling south on Rancho Santa Fe Road, and made a turn to the left to Boulderidge Drive. The other vehicle—which has also not been described—had been traveling north on Boulderidge Drive. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Responders arrived and transported the driver of each vehicle to the hospital. Both drivers suffered injuries that were described as serious, but not thought to be life threatening.

The identities of each driver, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported. The types of injuries each person suffered has also not been reported.

Investigators are continuing their work to understand the causes of the crash by collecting details and information.
