Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (February 28, 2020) – On Thursday night, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Luis Obispo. The February 27 incident occurred on Los Osos Valley Road.
Reports say that according to the California Highway Patrol, the victim may have been walking near the road’s edge prior to being struck.
Responders from San Luis Obispo Fire arrived to help the victim, but he died from the injuries he suffered. He was identified only as 50 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The person driving the vehicle—which has not been described—stayed at the incident site. She was identified as a resident of Grover Beach, 24 years old. Her name has not been reported. She was uninjured in the incident, according to reports.
Investigators are continuing their work to collect details and information to understand what factors and circumstances contributed to the crash.
