Multiple Vehicles Collide on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo Where Dog was Running in Lanes
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (March 22, 2019) – Multiple vehicles collided Thursday afternoon on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo where a dog was reported to have been running in the lanes. The March 21 accident occurred close to Prado Road, in the lanes of the highway that head north.
The time was a bit after midday.
Reports say vehicles reduced speed or came to a stop in the highway’s lanes due to a dog who was running there. Three vehicles, and possibly more, collided.
According to the California Highway Patrol, animal control had caught the dog around 12:45 p.m.
The types of vehicles involved in the collision have not bee described, nor an exact number of vehicles reported. The identities of the drivers of the vehicles that collided, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence, have not been reported. It is not known from reports if anyone had been traveling as a passenger in any of the vehicles involved. No details have been reported on whether anyone was injured in the incident.
In a separate incident, which occurred a bit before 12:30 p.m. on the same day, an accident happened in the lanes that head south, near Los Osos Valley Road. No one was reported injured in that incident. No information has been reported on the number of vehicles involved in that crash, and the identities of the people involved.
Investigators are examining the details to determine the sequence of events involved in the crashes.
