Four People Killed in San Jacinto Crash
SAN JACINTO, CA (February 15, 2021) – Elizabeth Muniz and Michal Tostado were identified by authorities as two of the victims killed in a crash in San Jacinto on Thursday night. A family member identified the two other victims who died as Aolani and Aileen, two young girls.
The February 11 crash occurred close to where Seventh Street and Ramona Expressway intersect.
The time was roughly 8:16 p.m., the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
Five vehicles collided in the incident. The manner in which the collision occurred has not been described.
Responders arrived and found two people who had been traveling in a vehicle described as a Kia Optima died at the crash site. Responders transported a third person who had been in the Kia Optima to Riverside University Health System. The patient died in the hospital.
One person who had been traveling in a Nissan Armada died at the crash site.
Authorities identified two of the victims as Elizabeth Muniz, a resident of Hemet, 37 years old; and Michal Tostado, a resident of Hemet 31 years old.
A family member identified the two minors who were killed in the incident. Vannesa Muniz identified Aolani, a resident of Eastvale, 11 years old. Aolani was Vannesa Muniz’s daughter.
Vannesa Muniz also identified Aileen, a resident of Hemet, 16 years old. Aileen was Muniz’s niece.
Elizabeth Muniz was Vannesa Muniz’s sister, Vannesa said.
It is not known who had been driving each of the five vehicles involved in the crash. The other vehicles have not been described, and other people involved in the crash have not been identified.
