Man Fleeing Police Crashes Car Near Thomas Edison Elementary School
San Diego, CA (January 7, 2024) – A woman sustained injuries Tuesday evening, January 7, after her vehicle was struck by a suspect fleeing police near Thomas Edison Elementary School in San Diego.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. when San Diego Police Department officers attempted to stop a driver for a traffic violation in the City Heights area. Instead of complying, the driver sped away, initiating a police pursuit.
Man Fleeing Police Tried To Flee On Foot After Crash
The chase ended when the suspect’s vehicle collided with another car near the elementary school. The woman in the struck vehicle received medical attention at the scene for her injuries.
Following the crash, the male suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody by officers.
