Vespa Accident In San Diego Kills Female Rider
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 13, 2025) — A 49-year-old woman tragically lost her life Sunday evening in a Vespa accident on San Pasqual Valley Road near Old Milky Way, authorities confirmed.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the woman was traveling westbound on a 2020 Vespa Piaggio when she failed to navigate a curve in the road. The scooter crossed into the eastbound lane and veered off the pavement, ejecting the rider. She sustained severe head trauma as a result of the crash.
Paramedics Quickly Transported The Woman To A Nearby Hospital Where She Later Died
Emergency responders were dispatched to the 16100 block of San Pasqual Valley Road at approximately 5:30 p.m. Paramedics transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
