Pedestrian Injured in Crash in Normal Heights
San Diego, CA (January 9, 2024) – In a harrowing incident that unfolded on Saturday evening around 6:17 p.m., a 91-year-old pedestrian sustained serious injuries following a collision at the intersection of Felton Street and Adams Avenue in Normal Heights. The San Diego Police swiftly responded to the scene, where it was revealed that the elderly pedestrian had been struck by a Toyota Corolla.
Elderly Pedestrian Dies In Hospital After Being Struck
According to eyewitness accounts, the 91-year-old male pedestrian was crossing the road when the Toyota Corolla collided with him. Emergency services arrived promptly and transported the injured individual to the hospital. Fortunately, while the pedestrian’s injuries are serious, they are considered non-life-threatening.
The responsible driver of the Toyota Corolla remained at the scene and cooperated fully with authorities. In response to the incident, the San Diego Police closed off westbound Adams Avenue from Felton Street to facilitate the clearing of the accident site.
Investigation By SDPD Is On Going
