Woman Injured, Dog Killed When Car Hits Them on Adams Avenue in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 13, 2019) – On Thursday night in San Diego, a woman and her dog were struck by vehicle as they crossed the street. The December 12 incident occurred on Adams Avenue close to 34th Street, in the area of Normal Heights.
The time was roughly 6:50 p.m.
Reports say the woman and dog had been going across the road and a vehicle—described as a Volkswagen Jetta, blue in color—struck them.
Responders arrived and discovered the dog was killed at the incident site. They transported the woman to a hospital. The injuries she suffered were described as life threatening. Her current condition is not known.
The woman was identified only as 25 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
The person who had been driving the vehicle was reported as a man 35 years old, according to Robert Heims. Heims is an officer with the San Diego Police.
