Vehicle Hits Parked Van in San Diego’s Lincoln Park, Trapping Woman
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 29, 2019) – Early Monday morning, a vehicle smashed into a van parked on the street in San Diego’s Lincoln Park, and overturned, trapping the driver inside. The October 28 incident occurred on Imperial Avenue in the 4900 block.
The time was roughly 12:15 a.m., according to San Diego Police.
Reports say the vehicle crashed into a van that was parked on the street, for reasons that are not known, and then overturned, landing on its side. A woman who had been driving the vehicle was trapped.
According to reports, two bystanders witnessed the incident and ran over to help. They crawled onto the overturned vehicle and rescued the woman inside.
Responders arrived and helped the woman. The injuries she suffered were described as minor. Her identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The identities of the two bystanders who helped the woman have also not been reported, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence.
Also not identified in reports is the owner of the parked van that was struck.
