Vehicle Hits Man on Mira Mesa Boulevard in San Diego, Killing Him
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 29, 2019) – A vehicle struck and killed a man early in the morning on Monday in San Diego. The October 28 incident occurred on Mira Mesa Boulevard in the 9100 block, close to where Black Mountain Road intersects.
The time was roughly a little before 6:30 a.m., San Diego Police said.
Reports say a man walked from the median in the center of the road and a vehicle—described as an Acura—which had been heading west struck him. The person who had been driving the vehicle immediately hurried to help the victim, reports say.
The man died at the site of the incident. He was identified only as 87 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The driver was identified as a man 21 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work of gathering information and details to understand what circumstances contributed to the incident.
