Vehicle Crashes into Family’s Home in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (December 7, 2018) – A vehicle crashed into a family’s home in the San Diego neighborhood of Bay Ho in the morning on Thursday. The December 6 accident occurred on Huerfano Avenue in the 4100 block, San Diego police said.

The time was roughly 2:00 a.m.

According to reports, a vehicle—described as a Mercedes-Benz—went out of control and swerved onto a family’s front yard before it smashed into the house itself. The Mercedes struck the building near its front door.

Reports say that three people had been traveling in the Mercedes at the time it crashed. The person who owns the house told reporters that only minutes before the accident, he had been in the garage. The homeowner was not hurt in the accident. The homeowner’s children were also in the home at the time of the accident, and they also were not hurt.

Responders arrived on scene and transported the person who had been driving the Mercedes to the hospital. It has not yet been reported what the injuries were that the driver suffered, the name, age, city of residence or other details pertaining to the victim. It has also not yet been reported if the other occupants of the car were injured, or their identities.

Reports say that police arrested one of the occupants of the vehicle on an outstanding warrant.

What caused the accident has not been reported.
