Suspected Hit-and-run Driver Flees Crash in San Diego’s El Cerrito Neighborhood
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 6, 2020) – A collision late in the afternoon on Sunday in San Diego in the neighborhood of El Cerrito caused damage. A driver involved in the January 5 incident, which occurred in the vicinity of College Avenue and University Avenue, fled the scene.
The time was roughly 4:30 p.m., San Diego Police said.
Reports say a truck—which has not been described—went through a light that was red and collided with a van. After striking the van, the truck fell onto a car, described as red-colored sedan.
The person who had been driving the truck fled the incident site. The driver has not been described.
It is not known from reports if anyone was hurt in the crash. The drivers of the van and the car have not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence. It is not known if any passengers had been in any of the vehicles involved in the collision.
Investigators are searching for the driver of the truck. They are continuing their efforts to collect information and details regarding the incident.
