Ramp from State Route 76 to I-15 closed in San Diego When Truck Overturns
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 27, 2021) – A truck carrying a load of hay bales overturned on Tuesday in San Diego, blocking a freeway ramp. The January 26 incident occurred on the ramp from State Route 76 to I-15.
According to Caltrans, the semi truck overturned on the east ramp from State Route 76 to I-15 north. The truck landed on its side, and hay bales ended up scattered on freeway’s shoulder.
No details have been reported on what caused the truck to overturn. Reports also do not say if the truck’s driver was hurt. The identity of the driver, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
It is not known if there were any other vehicles involved in the incident, or any other people who may have been hurt.
Crews arrived and worked to clear the lanes, all of which were blocked by the crash.
Investigators are working on understanding the cause of the incident.
