Motorcyclist Collides with Fuel Truck in Scripps Ranch Area of San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 12, 2019) – Late Sunday morning, a motorcyclist collided with a fuel truck in San Diego’s Scripps Ranch area, suffering serious injuries. The November 10 incident occurred in the area of the northbound I-15 to Miramar Road heading westbound.
The time was roughly 11:30 a.m., Dino Delimitros said. Delimitros is an officer with the San Diego Police.
Reports say the motorcyclist went into the lane where the fuel truck was traveling. The exact manner in which the collision happened has not been described.
Responders arrived and transported the rider to a hospital. His leg was seriously injured in the incident, reports say. It is not known if he suffered any other injuries.
His current condition is not known. He was identified only as 28 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The person who was driving the truck was not hurt in the collision, according to reports. The driver was identified only as 74 years old. The driver’s name, gender, and city of residence have not been reported.
