Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide on I-5 in Mission Bay Area of San Diego, Injuring Rider
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 11, 2019) – A motorcycle and vehicle collided on I-5 late in the afternoon on Wednesday, injuring the rider. The April 10 accident occurred on the freeway’s southbound side, close to Sea Word Drive in San Diego’s Mission Bay area.
The time was roughly 5:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say the vehicle pulled over to the side of the freeway following the crash. The rider lay in the freeway’s middle lanes, where respondents treated him. An ambulance and a fire truck provided a barrier for the paramedics to work as traffic moved past the victim. According to reports, respondents transported the victim by ambulance. The identity of the rider, including the person’s name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported. The victim’s injuries have not been described, nor current condition.
