Hit-and-run Driver Smashes into Parked Cars in San Diego’s Pacific Beach
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 10, 2019) – A hit-and-run driver crashed into multiple parked vehicles in Pacific Beach on Sunday night. The July 7 incident occurred close to Garnet Street.
The time was roughly 9:00 p.m.
Reports say a vehicle, white in color, smashed at least four vehicles, and the front of the vehicle had incurred such significant damage, that the hood covered the windshield. The person who was driving had to lean out of the car’s window to see as the person continued heading down the road, according to a witness.
Reports say another witness, identified as Ben Toole, captured the incident on his surveillance camera. Another person in the neighborhood attempted to follow the suspect, but the suspect driver and the vehicle could not be found.
According to police, the suspect entered the freeway and fled the scene. Investigators are looking for the suspect driver and the vehicle involved in the incident. A description of the driver has not been reported.
No one was reported to have been injured in the series of crashes. None of the owners of the vehicles that were smashed have been identified in reports.
