Hit-and-run Crash on Euclid Avenue in San Diego Injures Motorcyclist
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 15, 2020) – A motorcyclist was hit and injured in San Diego’s Fairmont Village area early in the morning on Wednesday. The October 14 incident occurred where Euclid Avenue and Lantana Drive intersect.
The time was roughly 12:10 a.m., according to John Buttle. Buttle is an officer with San Diego Police.
The rider had been traveling on Euclid Avenue and heading north on a motorcycle, described as a Yamaha. A vehicle–described as a Honda sedan, white in color–came out on Lantana Drive and hit the motorcycle’s right side, according to reports.
The driver did not stop to help the rider, but fled the scene.
Responders arrived and transported the victim to a hospital. He is reported to have suffered broken bones, including a fibula and tibia. His current condition is not known.
He was identified only as 33 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver, and the vehicle. They are gathering information and details to aid in the effort.
