Driver Suspected of Running Over Man in Parking Lot in San Diego is Arrested
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 28, 2019) – A man was killed late Thursday night in a parking lot in San Diego after a driver ran over him. The June 27 incident occurred in the Kearny Mesa area, on Convoy Street in the 4600 block.
The time was roughly 11:30 p.m.
Reports say the driver—identified as Latisha Ingram, 33 years old—and a man had been engaged in an argument prior to the incident. The argument grew heated and, according to police, Ingram left the scene, driving while the man held onto her vehicle.
Ingraham exited the parking lot, police said, and made a turn on Conway Street. At that point, the man is reported to have released his grip on the vehicle. The vehicle allegedly ran over him, reports say.
Responders arrived and transported the man to a hospital. He later died. He was identified only as 25 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Authorities arrested Ingram on suspicion of felony DUI and hit-and-run. Investigators are continuing their work to understand the circumstances of the incident.
