Driver Suspected of DUI Crashes into Residence’s Yard on Worden Street in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 20, 2019) – On Wednesday night, family members inside a house in the Point Loma area of San Diego were startled when they heard a crash outside. They found a vehicle had smashed into their yard on Worden Street.
The time was roughly 10:45 p.m.
Reports say a vehicle—described as an SUV, white in color—smashed into a vehicle that was parked, which sent it traveling across the road for roughly 30 feet. The SUV also crashed into a fence and a number of trees.
The SUV struck the vehicle belonging to the family—described as a BMW—which had been parked in the residence’s driveway.
Responders arrived and transported the driver to UC San Diego Medical Center. The injuries she suffered, and her current condition, are not known.
The driver’s identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported. According to reports, driving under the influence may be a factor.
The owners of the residence have not been identified. The owner of the first parked car that was struck has also not been identified.
Investigators are working on collecting details and information regarding the incident.
