Driver Smashes into Parked Vehicles in San Diego’s Loma Portal Area
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 16, 2019) – Early in the morning on Thursday, a driver smashed into vehicles parked on the street in the Loma Portal neighborhood of San Diego. The August 15 incident occurred on Worden Street in the 2100 block.
The time was roughly 1:30 a.m.
Reports say people who witnessed the incident saw a vehicle driving in tight circles, and then smash into three vehicles that were parked on the road. The driver was stopped by residents, reports say, and the driver exited the vehicle.
According to reports, the driver then left the scene, and residents pursued him and detained him until officers from San Diego Police arrived.
The identity of the driver, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported. The type of vehicle he was driving has not been described.
None of the vehicles that were struck have been described, and none of the owners of the parked vehicles have been identified.
Investigators are working on gathering information and evidence to understand what circumstances played a role in the incident.
